RAKU CERAMICS

Clay, glaze,
smoke and fire.

Raku-fired work and functional studio ceramics, made in small batches with an interest in form, surface and the marks left by making.

Some pieces are hand-built, others are thrown on the wheel, and I use slipcasting for a few forms. The raku work goes through smoke and reduction; the studio pieces are fired in the electric kiln and made to be used.

02 / Studio Ceramics

Made to be used.

Alongside my raku work, I make a growing range of functional studio ceramics, from mugs and tumblers to bowls and plates. All made to be used every day.

04 / About

Making, testing and firing.

I make raku and functional studio ceramics in small batches. Some pieces are hand-built, some are thrown on the wheel, and a few are slipcast. I enjoy the whole process, from making and testing to glazing and firing, then seeing what comes out of the kiln.
